Clackamas Rivershore Hotel
This is the hotel at which we've reserved a block of rooms. We chose it because it has a fantastic view of the Willamette River and had a nice suite of amenities while still remaining affordable.
Facility highlights include:
• Pool and hot tub
• 24 hour exercise facility
• Internet-ready guest computer
• High-speed wireless
• Convenient recycling (What!? Megan’s a Master Recycler…)
Room amenities include:
• Microwave
• Mini-fridge
• Iron & ironing board
• AC
• Balcony
Of course, if you are bringing camping gear, you're welcome to join us in the group camping area and overnight there as well! :)

About the Bride
Megan is 26 years old and a Technology Teacher at Nancy Ryles Elementary School in Beaverton. She tries to fill her time with activities she’s passionate about and will leave lasting good long beyond her time on this planet. To this end, she volunteers as a Master Recycler, works with the Oregon State Parks' Let’s Go Camping program, and occasionally does trail work and invasive species removal in Forest Park.
She enjoys reading, camping, hiking, backpacking, and baking. Megan loves attempting to garden, even though the backyard is woefully short of sunlight. Games are also a favorite activity, though they’re most interesting when the rules are more complicated and the premise is more intriguing than that of Monopoly.
Ultimately, she’s still deciding exactly what she wants to be when she grows up. With the requirement of a Master’s Degree within ten years of obtaining a teaching degree to hold on to one’s educator license, she’s weighing her options in regards to specialties. Perhaps she’ll soon be a Speech-Language Pathologist, an environmental educator, a Library/Media Specialist, or a professional rodeo clown(okay, maybe not).

The Vision
More fun, less formality! We'll be getting married around noon in a short, informal ceremony. We've decided to skip the wedding party, procession, and big white dress in favor of just enjoy being surrounded by loved ones for this special moment.
After the ceremony, Milo McIver offers many options for fun: hiking, disc golf, and river play being our favorites! We'll host a BBQ, bring our board games, and have a few squirt guns on site! Feel free to bring any board games or other summer activities that you enjoy. If you decide to bring water balloons, please, plan to clean up the rubber leavings.
This is a casual wedding and we're encouraging all our guests to come in shorts, t-shirts, or whatever's comfortable for running around on a hot day.
After the wedding and reception, we'll be staying right in Milo McIver State Park. We have an "rustic" camp site that can sleep up to 100 people in tents, plus a place to park your car. If you'd like an RV-friendly space or a private site, reservations are open. Park information is available here and there's a link on the left-hand side for making reservations. Unfortunately, I've found no feasible business for equipment rentals, though I recommend calling REI if you're very enthusiastic.
If you're not much for camping or it seems like too much of a hassle, McIver is located in close proximity to Portland. I'm sure we'll be able to get a block of rooms within a 30 minute drive or so. We'll have more news for you on that front later.
Hope you can make it! Feel free to leave comments or email with questions or thoughts!
Love from Megan & Kelly!
